Why Request a Quote Instead of Ordering Directly

Many customers place orders directly on our website and receive instant pricing during checkout. But in some cases, getting a manual quote first is the better choice—especially if your files are complex, your needs are specific, or you're simply not ready to place an order yet. A quote gives you a clear price and turnaround time with no commitment required, and lets our team review any special circumstances to ensure everything is handled correctly from the start.

Your Files Are Low Quality

If your scans or photos are blurry, dark, cropped, or otherwise hard to read, our automated counter may miscalculate the word count—or fail entirely. A quote request allows us to manually verify the files are legible and provide accurate pricing.

Your Files Contain Multiple Languages

When a document includes repeated content in more than one language, our automated counter will include all visible text—potentially inflating the word count. By requesting a quote, we can manually redact the duplicate content and ensure you're only charged for the original.

Alternatively, you can redact the duplicate sections yourself before uploading to get an instant price during checkout.

Your File Couldn't Be Automatically Counted

Some file types—like spreadsheets, CSVs, and PowerPoint presentations—aren't counted automatically because they often include large amounts of non-translatable content. A manual quote helps us count only the relevant material and ensure accurate pricing.

There may also be occasional issues with file quality or brief service interruptions that prevent automated counting. When that happens, requesting a quote ensures we can still process your request accurately.

Your File Is Password-Protected

Locked files can't be processed at checkout. If you're unable to remove the password, include it in your quote request notes so we can access and review the file.

You Have Specific Formatting or Other Requirements

If you have requirements that go beyond our standard deliverables—such as including extra context, combining or splitting content in a specific way, or following special formatting instructions not covered in checkout—requesting a quote is the best way to ensure we understand your needs.

Be sure to include a clear description of your request and we'll review it before starting work.

You Just Want a Price Without Committing

If you're not ready to place an order but want to review the exact cost and turnaround time, requesting a quote is a great option. You'll receive a detailed estimate that you can save and return to later—no upfront payment or commitment required.

You can also export the quote as a PDF to share with others or have a third party pay for it to convert it into an order.

Combining or Splitting Content Across Files

If you're submitting multiple documents that should be grouped into one translation—or splitting one file into multiple outputs—a quote request helps us follow your expectations and avoid confusion during delivery.

Translating Into Multiple Languages

If you need your document translated into several target languages, a quote request is the easiest way to coordinate everything in one step. With a single request, we can generate quotes for each language pair and prepare the corresponding orders for you—ensuring consistency, accuracy, and streamlined delivery.

Third-Party Requirements

Some recipients have specific rules for formatting, certification, or delivery. Requesting a quote gives us the opportunity to confirm whether we can meet those requirements before you place your order.

We maintain a list of recipients we guarantee acceptance for. If your recipient isn't listed, include their specific requirements in your quote request and we'll review them to confirm compatibility.
