It is important to note that the acceptance requirements of legal documents can vary. If you’re unsure about the acceptance of your documents, please contact us with your requirements.

Does my Legal Translation need to be certified?

A certified legal translation is an exact word-for-word translation of a legal document. Most of our legal document translations are certified translations since that is what most receiving parties of legal documents request.

Please be sure to check the requirements of your receiving party to make sure you are submitting the correct translation type and to prevent any inefficiencies in legal processes.

Does my Legal Translation need to be notarized?

Notarizations of certified translations are a common add-on for our legal translation services. Notarization simply implies that a notary public will verify the identity of the signer of the Certificate of Translation Accuracy, which comes with each certified translation.

Please refer to the requirements of your receiving party to ensure that notarization is needed. We offer a 50-state valid notarization for your translation certification.

If you have questions about our notarization process please refer to this page.

Do I need an Apostille for my Legal translation?

Notarization is subject to domestic law, which means that as a US company when we notarize your certified translation, that notarization will only be valid inside the US.

If your translation's end-user is outside of the US then you will most likely need an apostille to authenticate that our notarization is valid.

Apostille's allow our US-based notarization process to be valid in the 116 countries of the Hague Convention.

If you have any questions about our apostille process please refer to this page.
