I used RushTranslate 2 years ago, and by then I revised the documents just once before approval. I was satisfied with the service and decided to use it again. I was so wrong. This time I had to revise and correct each document four (!) times. I spent a lot of time doing it, but I could not do it by myself since I needed a certified translation. The protocol numbers on the documents were wrong, and the years were messed up, 2010 became 2019. The translator was not very attentive and focused. The support team replied to my complaints promptly, but the quality of the translation was terrible.

We're very sorry numerous revisions were needed to get things just right. We'll review with the translator and strive to provide better service going forward. Please contact support if you have questions or if we can be of any assistance.

Be extremely cautious, especially if you do not understand the original language. The first revision was less than half translated. Important details like dates and addresses were missing.

I requested the translations on the side of the original words, since I'm trying to identify it. It didn't happen. thanks anyway.

It seems there was a misunderstanding in terms of what we can provide with certified translation service. Specifically, we cannot deliver a certified translation with any text in the source language as that will lead to rejections by the end user. In this case, I'm guessing you are not submitting the translation to an end user that requires certification and that you would have been better served with a Standard/Business translation. We'd be happy to update the order to Standard/Business translation and ask the linguist to modify the translation so the Arabic appears side-by-side the English text. You will receive an email notification as soon as the revised document is ready. Please let us know if you have questions or if we can be of any assistance. Thanks!

I have to say I'm not satisfied with the layout of the translation. I found it strange to read the right-positioned content shown on the left side of your translation. I believe Rushtranslate is a big company to have those well-disciplined samples as most official diplomas are similar. I requested twice through the website and the translator just deleted what I said in the request. Then I sent an email to customer service and it's still difficult to communicate. I used Rushtranslate once before, and it went well, I got what I want from the first beginning. But this time, this translator seems to have some difficulty using Microsoft Word. Even after I provide a version that was edited myself, the translator refused to use it. The translation papers mean a lot to me. Now the translated documents just look unprofessional.

I'm sorry to hear the translation didn't meet your expectations this time. It looks like initially the translator was trying to keep the entire document in portrait layout rather then changing it to landscape. The formatting is now corrected and matches the landscape layout in the original. Thank you.

Great

The service is good and fast. The quality of the translation is bad as there were typos that proficient English speakers shouldn't make, and thus it needed extra revisions.

(+) Quick and efficient. (-) Translation horrible. But I have to specify I encounter another translator on this website, excellent and far better.

Your translation service is to expensive. You should offer package deals to translate 5 copies.

Thanks for posting a review. We try to have the most affordable pricing possible for professional human translation. If you have additional documents that need translated, you will always get the best pricing by submitting everything at the same time because we will take the total word count and divide by 250 to arrive at the total number of pages of certified translation. If you have questions, please contact our support desk. Thank you.

I wasnt satisfied with the translation process. It took me 3 times and consequently 3 days to correct the wrong items i mentioned at first time. The translator didnt pay attention to what i wrote to him he tend to send the translation back to me for 3 times with the uncorrect items!

We apologize for having multiple rounds of revisions to get the edits done properly. We will be following up with the translator and the QA team to make sure processes are improved, going forward. Please contact the support desk if we can be of any further assistance. Thank you.

The website is really easy to use, the service is very fast and all my comments about the translation were taking into considerations. However, the translator i had was sloppy (didn't double check the translation, forgot to translate parts of the documents) and a bunch of the words were not proprely translated.

Sorry to hear about the issues with the translation. We will certainly review with the translator and the QA team to make sure the processes are improved. Please find the revised translation available from the order status page. Thank you.

Muy mala traduccion, hice traducir un registro civil y mis papeles son de Colombia. En la traduccion dice varias veces que se hizo en Venezuela cuando esta palabra no aparece en ningun a parte del texto. Super mal

The quality of this translation is not really good, it basically just translates the word with no order, I am not even sure I can use it.

Most of the translation was wrong including my mothers name on the birth certificate, my date of birth. It’s like google translator was used to do it.

Thanks for posting a review. As a reminder, we request the proper spelling of names during the checkout process. When this information is not provided, it greatly increases the need for revisions. Fairly poor quality translation. Same company in the original document have different names in the translation. Has the appearance of being translated via Papago. Overpriced for the quality of the translation.

I want to be honest, and let you know my thought about your translation of my document from Spanish into English. It was horrible. It looks like it was translated in google translate. I would never recommend your service to anybody because it is not professional.

The website was easy to navigate. The quality of the translation was AWFUL. There were so many overlooked mistakes, misspellings, incorrect insertion of numbers and punctuation marks that I was appalled the amount of times I had to ask for revision. It gave the impression that RUSH TRANSLATION sees their clients as just a number for cash and that quality and care for an important document doesn't matter. I will not reconsider for any future use.

My apologies for the issues you encountered using our service, this is not typical of what we strive to deliver to our clients. We will reach out to you directly to resolve the matter.

My Norwegian wife said the translation was really bad. She had to make probably 15 adjustments to it. It looked like it had been done on Google translate. The reason I ordered it was to save her time. Oh well.

Thank you for posting a review. Translators are expressly prohibited from using any machine translation software and must complete all work from scratch. Please keep in mind that translations are inherently subjective and that many differences can be attributed to word preference, style, etc. We would be happy to address any concerns you have via the revision process. Please submit your revision request from the order status page and it will be routed to the translator to review and apply edits, as appropriate. Thanks!

I would evaluate my translation service as "POOR". As I got my translated document, i found 3 mistakes in them. I had to read through every single line. I could use a template for translation for free but I decided to choose rushtranslate and pay so I can have confidence that everything is translated accurately. However, For such short document, frankly speaking, I think these are many mistakes. So I cant rate this as a good quality service to be honest! Sorry!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. While we always strive to provide translations that require no edits, it will always be difficult to achieve that goal which is why we provide a free and easy to use process for requesting revisions. Please find your revised translation available from your order status page and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
English to Ukrainian
I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of this translation. A native Ukrainian speaker on our staff reviewed the translation from English to Ukrainian and commented: "I found a lot of mistakes and that translation does not transmit the exact initial meaning/message. Probably it was made by a non-native speaker or a person who is not aware of the modern Ukrainian language." We chose to hire you for our translation needs because our staff in Ukraine does not have the bandwidth to do this work right now. Please run some checks on your translators to ensure you're employing native speakers of the target language and people who can truly do the work you're claiming to offer.

Thank you for posting a review. Please note, the translation was completed by a professional, native speaking Ukrainian. Upon review, the requested edits have all been determined to be subjective. They have been applied, as requested, and the revised translation is available from order status page. If you have questions or need further assistance, please contact our support team. Thank you.

Very disappointed in the translation. The names were simply copy/pasted from the child's name over to the parents when, in fact, it was a completely different name. You can see that no time and effort was put into getting document translated. Disappointed I paid $25 since after I had to personally go through the document myself to make sure it was correct because I lost trust in the translation.

Preferred spelling of names is requested during checkout. When this information is not provided, the translator uses their best judgement for names but we have a free revision process if edits are required.
English to Chinese (Traditional)
Could not even get a revision of some sort. I was asked to submit a whole new order

We have a free revision process to resolve any concerns that you may have with the translation. However, in this case, you submitted a revised source file which was substantially different than the original source material that we translated. As we explained via email, this is not something we can complete for free as it is unfair to the translator. We did not ask you to place a new order, instead we provided a discounted rate to alter the original translation to match the revised source material. This practice is consistent with any other service where changes are made to the order after the service has been completed. If you have additional questions, please contact the support team and we will be happy to help.

I had two documents/pages I needed translated and they made multiple mistakes. I would hope theese documents are double checked before putting your signature on a certified translation of legal documents. I don’t know how can you translate “ City hall Cluj Napoca” to “ City Hall Bucharest”.

Chinese (Simplified) to English
I'm disappointed that your seal and signature are not on the original document.

So signatures or seals are placed on the original document as we are not able to authenticate, nor validate, original documents. If you are needing that for your end use case, you may need to obtain an apostille or notarization for the original document, depending on the requirements of the receiving party. Please contact our support desk if you have questions or if we may be of any assistance. Thank you.

Not sure how anyone who is qualified to do this job can actually mistake the applicant's Given Name which contains five letters, and make that error in two different important documents.

For future reference, we request that you provide proper spelling of names during the checkout process. This greatly reduces the need for revisions after the translation is complete.
English to French
The translation was done quickly and all communication with employees was fast and helpful, which is why I'm putting 4 stars for service. However, this translation was truly horrible. There were so many errors and the translation showed a huge lack of cultural understanding on the translator's part, including using a vulgar word in French. It was clear that my documents had been put through a machine translator with little to no correction on the translator's part. I had to request at least a dozen revisions on the translation, which at that point felt as if I was doing more work than the translator. I would understand a couple necessary revisions, but my documents required far too many. I'm lucky that I'm fluent in the target language of my translations, if I wasn't, I would have just happily paid for a mistake-riddled, poorly done service and been none the wiser. My documents were also sloppy, including some typos and inconsistent abbreviations, which can't even be blamed on a machine translator. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, as when I pay $250 for a service, I expect it to be done well. In the future, I would not use this service again or recommend it to friends. In conclusion, I would have been happy to wait an extra day or two to have a much better quality translation that required far fewer revisions.

French to English
I used RushTranslate to translate my transcripts from French into English. The quality for a certified translation was shocking (multiple errors and a too literal translation). I was particularly annoyed by the fact that my birthdate was wrong even though it concerned numbers which didn't even need translating (implying a lack of quality control). I know bad translations can happen (I worked in the translation industry for a while, and my SO is a translator) and I sent some suggestions back. These have been taken over blindly and therefore I pretty much translated a bunch of my own text yet paid for it. Again, I know how this works so it's not that big of a deal (translators have styles which might or might not conform to the customer's preferences). But what really really annoyed me was that there was not an apology, explanation or any type of message about the situation. I sincerely suggest RushTranslate spend some more time on the follow-up of projects and interaction with customers. The translation industry is highly competitive and it is therefore imperative to effectively communicate. Unfortunately though unless these points are addressed I would not recommend this translation service.

How can you afford to make typos in a document… unbelievable… not using your service again. 24 hr deadline was also not met. But I appreciate the prompt reply I got to my query once enquired about the delay, that’s the only silver lining. But typos… seriously…

My apologies, we certainly don't like to have typos in any document. We do offer a free and easy to use process for requesting revisions from the order status page. Simply click the "New Revison" button and the request will be sent to the translator to review and apply edits, as appropriate. Please contact the support desk if you have questions or need assistance. Thank you.

Their website and speed is good but I took more time than the translator to correct the errors they made. Almost about 50% was wrong. Really disappointed with quality.

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the quality. We do request proper spelling of names during checkout to help reduce the need for revisions. Very disappointed, this is not my first time using Rush Translate but this is the first time with such poor results. 2 problems: 1) I checked word count via Word but Rush asked for $10 more saying that the copy has 120 words more than Word detected. 2) the quality of the translation is very bad, I had to spend an hour (for 2 page of word copy) to make it better as it's a CV and quality does matter. Overall $62, and an hour of work.

Thanks for posting a review. I've confirmed the word count was correct so you were not overcharged. If you have any specific concerns about the accuracy of the translation, please submit a revision request from the order status page and it will be routed to the translator to review and apply edits, as appropriate.

24 hour service is not really relevant when multiple revisions need to be done by me. By acquiring your services I expected professional translation but It could have been done better with google translate. Multiple typos and revisions had to be done by me...

Thank you for providing this feedback. My apologies, this is definitely not the service we strive to deliver. We will review the issues with the translator and QA to ensure our processes improve.
Japanese to English
Required multiple revisions. Would try another service next time for translation.

The end product was really bad and 70% of the translation was incorrect. Translating from Marathi to English. The design / UX was good, but that is irrelevant as a "certified translation" was incorrect. Had much higher expectations from their reviews/advertising and overall appearance. A big disappointment ! If the documents are for official reasons, better to choose another service which has better accuracy. I shouldn't need to send a revision for 70% of a simple document. They claim they have experts in Marathi, which is obviously not the case, even the most basic things were wrong.

Ukrainian to English
My experience is very negative. Why it costs $349.30 for only 3 full pages an a stamp only on the 4-th?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We made an error in your quote and have refunded the overcharged amount. We'll contact directly you with more information.

Errors on Translation. For paying $49.90 for a simple translation, I expected more. Disappointed to say the least.

Spanish to English
I got a crappy translation made with a text recognition app + google translate, full of typos, incorrect information and words not even translated! I'm giving three stars only because the support team was replying promptly and got this addressed. Thankfully my order was sent to a second translator and got a much better result.

English to Turkish
Used the service twice. Both turnaround is good. 2 things i wasn't happy with: 1- Instructions for apostille is very vague and confusing. 2- customer support is not much help. You are pretty much on your own.

English to Chinese (Traditional)
Kind of get what you pay for here. The order didn't come in 24 hours and I had to follow up in order for them to work on my translation (1 page). I specified and paid for Traditional Mandarin translation and got the wrong translation twice. Also, they spelled my name wrong in the first iteration...

English to German
The service was prompt and the delivery smooth. The quality of the translations was just satisfactory. It is sufficient for my present needs. The translation was not done by a mother tongue translator which was obvious. I was hoping for a higher quality of standard.

Spanish to English
Very disappointing, the translation was done by submitting a paragraph to google translate. I had to write back the entire paragraph and paid for it. So I did the work and I also paid. Would not use them again unless absolutely desperate.

I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with that paragraph. A certified translation is required to be a literal, word-for-word translation, which is not at all the same as what is produced by GT. If you feel there is something incorrect, you may submit a revision request from the order status page and it will be routed to the translator to review and apply edits, as appropriate.
Farsi to English
If I could give them 0 star, I would. The website is easy to use, and they are fast - very fast! and that is the issue. The overlook simplest things. They mailed me the wrong/old version of translation and when I informed them they asked me to pay again if I want the correct version! overall, I'm not happy.

I'm very sorry to hear you are disappointed with the service but your review is misleading. We processed the shipment for the version that you approved. After it had been shipped, we received a revision request for an edit on a name that had been misspelled. This is the most common revision request we receive, which is why we ask for proper/preferred spelling of names during the checkout process. Unfortunately, you did not provide that information. Upon receiving the revision request, we completed the edit to the PDF version and immediately notified you that if you wanted an additional shipment of the revised version, you would have to pay for an additional shipping fee. Nevertheless, we will process another shipment, with no additional fee due, as a gesture of goodwill.

I chose Rushtranslate to have my documents ready on time. I was surprised when the translations did not include the source file… It is essential that a translation includes its source file to show where it has bene translated from. Because of the delay with the revisions, I had to submit documents after my application deadline. I feel I was not provided a good enough service and therefore believe it is fair to request a refund of part of the value paid.

Translations do not have the source materials attached as we are unaware of any end user in which that is a requirement. That said, we are happy to do so, upon request.
Norwegian to English
The overall service design is great: quick turnaround time, streamlined system for requesting revisions, and a very important review system enabling RushTranslate to evaluate the translation quality of their individual translators. Unfortunately, in this case the translator seems to have "cut corners". Specifically, it appears that they used Google Translate as the "base" for their translation, and only edited it to "smooth out" the parts of the translation that didn't sound natural enough (about half of the sentences are exact matches with the Google Translate result, for sentences that you can tell a human would translate differently, ie. with more natural phrasing). Also, there were a couple of flat-out grammar mistakes, as in: "One often forgets that the exceptionally is first separated from the non-real after examination and clarification of the nature of the phenomenon." (Exceptionally is not a noun, and I doubt it's the right word anyway -- I assume it would be "real", given that it's being contrasted with "non-real".) While for some use-cases, the approach above ("start with a machine translation, then have a human refine it") could work fine, it is not what one would expect from a professional translator. My suggestion is that if a company is going to allow it, they should explicitly let the customer choose whether this is acceptable, at a reduced cost. This allows for cheaper/faster translations for customers that don't need the highest quality, while maintaining full quality/organicness for formal documents that require it. From what I understand, RushTranslate intends for its translators to not use machines for the translation base, so by that criteria the issue would just be the particular translator that was assigned to my order. I hope that they can thus contact the translator and confirm whether Google Translate was used. (or perhaps evaluate it for themselves by comparing the translator's provided result with that seen from Google Translate) Anyway, the result was not satisfactory in my case, but the overall service seems well thought out, so I will give it a mixed review. While I will use another service for my next translation, I think RushTranslate has promise, if they can do a better job of preventing their translators from "cutting corners" through use of machine translation tools and the like. (perhaps by having a system automatically compare the "human translation" with Google Translate's, and having it reviewed by management before being sent out, in cases where the results are suspiciously similar) Update: As of today (the next day), my order was refunded due to my concerns about the translation quality. This makes me want to up the rating by one, since this is good customer service (and maybe the translation quality was unrepresentative). However, I'm conflicted because I notice that my on-site submitted review is still not visible in the reviews section on their website (despite others from that day, as well as the next, being shown). This makes me think that in cases where they refund the customer, they don't show the review on-site. On the one hand, I can understand this (ie. unfair for them to take a rating hit even after they've fully refunded/resolved the occasional cases of translators cutting corners), but on the other hand, it can skew a customer's perception of how reliable their translators are (which can be important for time-sensitive tasks). Thus, I will have to leave my rating at 2-stars: they gain one for the good customer service, but lose one for the (somewhat) understandable but confusing practice of apparently not publishing the on-site reviews for translation orders that were canceled/refunded.

This translation had a lot of issues. Common issues include the lack of gender-inclusive language, outdated or completely incorrect academic and science terms (e.g. graduate students, tenured, the STEMM acronym), and in some cases, just generally older words or incorrect words are being used. This translation is basically not usable and we are having to do the entire thing over in order to be able to use it.

I'm very sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with the translation. Please submit a revision request with some examples of what you feel is incorrect and it will be routed to the translator to review and apply edits, as appropriate. Thank you.

Not a good experience this time. Numerous mistakes and omissions in the translated document. Revised document did not fix all the issues so ended up obtaining a translation from a different source. Translation quality may vary widely on the type of document being translated.

Japanese to English
I had to request a revision three times simply because the translator kept making mistakes and also didn't fix what I pointed out in one shot. Dates in the document were wrong, lines were missing, and when I pointed out what exactly needs to be fixed by highlighting and making comments on a copy of the document, the translator did not address them all in one revision, so I had to request two more revisions. I just don't understand how this is possible as a professional service. I cannot believe I had to do all the double-checking. I am so glad I understand English enough to catch those mistakes, but what if I understood zero English? Then I'd be submitting a completely incorrect translation to USCIS? I work as a (non-certified) translator for a company too, and I understand that translators are humans and there is always some room for human errors. Now, the job of the company is to minimize those errors by implementing a solid review system. The errors made by the translator could have been easily avoided if they used a review tool or had another translator double-check the document. Also, don't you guys translate birth certificates all the time? Isn't there any template? Even if it was the very first time for Rush Translate to handle a Japanese birth certificate, the fact I had to ask for a revision for careless mistakes three times was just ridiculous. Two things need to be improved significantly; 1)Quality of the translator 2)Double-check system. On the other hand, Customer Support made me feel like they were doing everything they could to help me and responded to my emails very quickly. I had to get this document translated in a few days and they were helpful in terms of communicating with the rest of the team to prioritize my order, etc. Overall, however, it was just a very unprofessional and frustrating experience. Imagine you order a BLT sandwich but you only get a plain ham sandwich, so you tell the cook that bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes need to go into a sandwich to make a BLT sandwich. Then you get a bacon sandwich, but you are like "where are the lettuce and tomatoes?". Now you get a bacon and lettuce sandwich, so you have to ask the cook again to add some tomatoes to get what you paid for, a BLT sandwich. The point is, I, as a customer, shouldn't have to tell the translator how to translate correctly. At least, the translator should be able to reflect all the changes I requested in one revision. I totally understand that customer review is an important process, but what I had to do was not just a review, but basically making edits in red and what the translator had to do was to reflect those edits in the actual deliverable which they failed to do twice. I asked for a refund but the request was denied because of the refund policy. But I really want to make a point here that I feel like I paid to edit someone's translation. I had no choice because I really needed this certified translation for my USCIS interview, but please please take my feedback seriously because I do not wish this frustrating experience upon anyone else. Dealing with USCIS is stressful enough. Having to deal with frustration with a translation service was just so uncalled for and unexpected. Thank you for your time and for reading my feedback.

Thanks for taking time to provide critical feedback. This is definitely not the experience we want our customers to have, nor is it indicative of the quality standards we require in the translations we deliver. We will email you directly to work it out.

The actual translation was great. However, I do not like at all and perhaps it is going to be a reason that the translation is rejected by the government, that you put your advertising logo on the top of each translation. The first page of each translated document has your logo. I am not impressed with this. It alters the document. I have used other translation services. Who puts their own advertising logo on the top of each supposed translation?

All certified translations are completed on our company letterhead. This is an important safety feature that ties each page of the translation together and allows the end user to see that no stray pages were added to the document. The company letterhead will not cause the translation to be rejected by a government agency. We post several examples of our certified translation here: https://rushtranslate.com/certified-translation

The most terrible translation service that exists on the internet. They advertise that your translation will be done within 24hrs (and so the name rushtranslate which should be changed to leisuretranslate) but it is MISLEADING. If you want an urgent service go else where. I used this service to get certificate translated on an urgent basis and uploaded the document. First response I get was after 28hrs, they needed clarification on the translation because the document was not clearly legible. In the beginning only I informed when requesting service if you need clarification don't hesitate to reach out. Reaching out for them means 28 hrs. Ok I respond back with clarification and then waited for another 14 hours to get back the response. I see that they missed something on the translate and I again provide feedback after review and then I finally got the document after 50+ hrs. This is the last time I am using this service. Terrible experience. Didn't even receive an email apologizing or providing partial refund. Bye bye LeisureTranslate.

My apologies for the delay you experienced. The translator emailed us after business hours to let us know they couldn't read the text because of the poor quality of the original document. That is what led to the delay in requesting additional information from you.
